Her hair, a golden-blond with just a hint of strawberry, is kept fairly short, and it curls over her head in surprisingly well behaved ringlets. Hazel eyes, green flecked with copper, are framed in a youthful face. A high forehead and straight brows give her a serious look, but it is offset by her pert round nose and little stubborn chin. She likes loose-fitting, practical clothing, and as little of it as is decorous, as she is easily overheated. Her preferred colored are greens, blues, and grays. She doesn't much care for jewelry, as it gets in the way, but she is rather fond of colorful bandanas. Also, she has a tattoo of a leaping dolphin on one leg and a stylized coral dragon on the other.
Adventure may as well be Teague's middle name, as she's always looking for the next exciting thing. She likes to go new places and try new things. Intelligent and curious, she is most happy when she is being challenged. Teague is a fairly social person as well, she enjoys meeting new people and drinking and playing cards in company. Music and swimming are also favorite hobbies of hers. Although she doesn't mind following the rules when she sees the sense in them, she does have a bit if a rebellious streak.
She has always been good with children, and often goes out of her way to interact with the weyrbrats when she has free time. She also loves animals and would probably have more pets if she had the room and the time. Although she does her best to be both kind and polite, she is a very open and honest person who has trouble hiding her true feelings. As for her love life, she is a bit more reserved. She usually prefers men, but mating flights have landed her in the furs with women before and it hasn't bothered her a bit. Some women are quite attractive after all. But any long term relationships will likely be with men, partly because Teague is still a traditional crafter at heart, and partly because she really wants a family. She's a bit paranoid about Ankalimath, and tends to mother-hen her a bit, but its only because of her fear of losing her best friend again.
History: Teague was born in Roma Hold. Her parents, both crafters, had only had a relationship for a few months when she was conceived. It was a bit of a surprise for the both of them, but being very much in love, they got married and proceeded to prepare for the arrival of their baby. She was born one chilly November evening and from then on, her poor parents were often at their wits end to deal with their active, rambunctious, and very intelligent child. She was always getting into something or another and between their guild careers and her younger siblings that arrived every few years, they didn't always have enough time to keep as close an eye on Teague as they otherwise might have, though they loved all of their children and did their best. As a result, Teague had a lot of experiences the average crafter child would not have.
She learned to swim and fish while she was still toddling, and spent time with runner beast in the stables, and whers in their dens. She learned tumbling and acrobatics from various wandering members of the Education Guild. She could read by the time she was four and by the time she was six she could play several instruments. However, she wasn't disposed to sit around studying. She led the other Holds' children on explorations of local caves, they built rafts and tree houses, they raced runners, searched for firelizards, and even found several nests, resulting in Teague's Impression of a bronze firelizard and a blue, which are named Nekte and Khelek respectively.
But eventually she grew bored of the places she was allowed to go as a child and she began to go into the shipyard. Children weren't really allowed there but she always found a way. She became fascinated by the Seacrafters and one day, at age eleven, she stowed away on a ship. Luckily, the captain found her before they got very far from shore, but he was so charmed by her, and impressed with her youthful bravery and determination, that he got permission from her parents to have her enrolled as an apprentice in the Seacrafting Guild the moment she turned twelve. Actually, they were quite grateful that Teague had found a craft she enjoyed because otherwise they wouldn't have known what to do with her.
So a few months later, she began her training as a Seacrafter. She enjoyed all the new things she was learning, the constant change and challenge. But the highlight of her year was going to see the Dolphineers. It was amazing seeing the dolphins and hearing them speak. So from that moment on, she resolved to become a Dolphineer. She spent so much time in the water, she began to feel like a fish, but it was worth it four years later when she was paired with a feisty bottlenose named Maiwe. She and Maiwe became the best of friends and spent all their free time together. Two turns later, Teague received her journeyman's knots. She and Maiwe were becoming a tempered team, helping in maritime rescue, underwater exploration, finding fish, and predicting storms. It was exhilarating, and rewarding work. Teague had never been happier.
But two years later, tragedy struck. Maiwe was impulsive like his partner, and one day, he decided to go scout an underwater shipwreck alone, planning on bringing Teague there later if it was safe. On the way back, he was attacked by a school of predatory fish. He managed to make it back to the dolphin bell, but his injuries were too severe, he couldn't be saved.
Teague was given a few months off to grieve before they attempted to pair her with another dolphin. In an attempt to cheer her up, her parents managed to secure seats at the next Weyr Hatching. She had always been curios about dragons and their extraordinary entrance into the world, so she was quite excited. Imagine her surprise when a dragon, a rare coral even, who had found all the Candidates wanting, came up to her and spoke in her mind. Then she knew, she would never be a Dolphineer again. But if she lost Ankalimath, the pain would be far worse.
Thrown into the life of a weyrling, and still grieving for Maiwe, it was only Ankalimath and her own indomitable will the kept her going the next few months. But eventually, her wounds started to heal, and she realized that she was starting to enjoy herself. And once they began to fly together, she never missed Dolphineering again. She was thrilled when Ankalimath displayed Search abilities because it meant they would be able to travel all over, seeing new places and meeting new people every day. So when she was 24, they became a Search pair and a fairly successful one at that. Now they are helping with the rebuilding effort and distributing aid.

Dragon’s Personality: Ankalimath is much calmer and more cautious than her lifemate. In fact, she's a very sweet dragon and caring, almost motherly. Despite her cautious nature, she never tries it stop Teague from going on adventures, but is a constant source of encouragement and advice. In fact, she's a bit of an enabler and somewhat weak-willed. But she is brave when put to the test, and extremely protective of her lifemate and all those that her lifemate loves. She is playful and water-loving, like most corals, but is a bit more reserved than some of her color, especially around males.
Dragon’s Appearance: By all accounts, Ankalimath is a striking dragon, though that could be said for most corals. She about the size of a large brown, and her build is rather like her rider's, lean and supple like an acrobat, but compact. Her coloring is bright red in the main, but calling her simply red would be a disservice. At her claws, her color is a deep purple which slowly morphs to magenta then deep red as it travels up her legs and tail and into her body. The red brightens on her body and then turns to scarlet and orange on her dorsal ridge and wings and head knobs, flame orange by the time as it gets to her wingtips. Her wings look like flames with the sails being orange and the ribs being scarlet. All over her hide is lightly mottled with darker splotches of whatever the prevailing color is.

He has a sweet and lazy personality, he likes to eat, sleep and snuggle. He doesn't really want to cause trouble or go on adventures, or even run errands really, but he will if the reward is food. He's very affectionate, and tends to stay close to Teague unless he thinks he'll get more attention from someone else.

He's aggressively protective of his pet, and is arrogant and prideful. However, he is quite obedient and dependable when it comes to errands and messages.
