The heart of this mountain houses a number of accessible hot springs, as well as a smaller lake fed by the river which comes from the waterfall above. A pathway from this cavern leads to the Hatching Cavern.

This cavern is filled with sand and is large enough for it to hold two different clutches at the same time. It's heated by inaccessible hot springs beneath it. While a path does lead to it from the Hot Springs cavern, the most commonly used entrance is a large opening at the base of New Hope Peak, which shows that the cavern itself sits slightly below the rest of the elevation around it. A wide pathway goes from this entrance to the top of the mountain and is only used by the newly hatched dragonets to get to the Weyrling Barracks.

Clutches: There is currently a clutch on the sands.

The Candidate Complex is a set of three buildings. The largest is in the center and serves as a common area as well as the class area for the candidates. On either side are smaller buildings which house the candidates, one for girls and one for boys. These buildings are double story to make them occupy less surface.

The Weyrling Complex is a grouping of sprawling buildings, five in all. They take up most of the land space on the mountain, but they are single story. The largest building houses the classrooms. To the left of that building are the second two largest buildings, which house the male weyrlings. The smallest building is to the left of these two, which also houses male weyrlings. To the right of the main building is a medium sized building which houses the female weyrlings. There is an area in the general center of this grouping where the dragonets nap and stay while their riders are in classroom lessons.
