Personality and Appearance:
Micaela is a friendly individual, out-going and social. She wants to be everyone's friend, no matter their age. Her daughter is the most precious thing in her world and she wouldn't give up what time she can spend with her for any price. She's got a strong love of the ocean and dolphins, probably from having grown up in the valley around Miner Hold and not being able to see the coast for the early part of her life. Micaela's biggest flaw is that she's got a bit of a superhero complex and has on more than one occassion attempted to do something beyond her ability to accomplish.
Micaela is fairly tall, standing at almost 5'7", and well built. Years of swimming has built up muscles and a strong body. She's always got a smile on her face, with the smile and laughter lines to go with. Her light brown hair is waist length, but she keeps it pulled back into braids and pony-tails the majority of the time. The smile and laughter lines that are near her mouth are also at her eyes, which are a light amber/brown in color. She dresses simply, so that she can work, during the day. But in the evening, when she's off-duty, she loves to dress up.
History: Micaela was born at Miner Hold to two Engineers. She was the youngest of three children growing up, her sister Celia being the eldest and her brother, Nelic, the middle child. Being the youngest, she was also readily spoiled by her parents, who were more than willing to let her get away with things when she was younger. Celia didn't mind so much, as she was almost fourteen when Micaela was born and she was already picked to go to Shan Hold and study at the Medical Guild. Nelic, however, was less than thrilled with his baby sister, and as a result, the pair never grew terribly attacked, much to Micaela's dismay.
Micaela was a quick study growing up, rapidly going through all her lessons once she started school. She completed the required education two years early, leaving her parents and the Hold uncertain of what to do until she turned 14. The two years let her grow a bit undisciplined. Her days frequently found her in the forests and on the cliffs around the Hold. She got into trouble a number of times, and even ended up with a broken arm once, though it healed just fine. By the time she turned 14, Micaela couldn't wait to get away from Miner Hold, and so when she could, she got as far away from Miner Hold as she could, going all the way to Roma Hold where she joined the Seacraft Guild.
Shortly after joining the guild, she met up with a young dolphin called Meme and the pair quickly created an unbreakable bond with eachother. Micaela specialized in dolphineering not too long after, learning how to care of little Meme, swim, and fish. Eventually she learned the more advanced aspects of being a dolphineer as she became a journeywoman, but not before impressing a little blue flit she called Kanu. When she was 16, Meme had her first calf, a little female who was named Sase. Micaela and Sase weren't ever close, though Micaela happily helped Meme tend to the little calf. Two years later, Micaela was surprised by being Searched.
Accepting the Search, and leaving Meme and Sase behind for what she hoped would only be a short period of time. Instead, she found herself walking off the Sands with a lovely little coral named Irukath. The pair soared through weyrlinghood, excelling just as she had as a young child and then with the guild. When she finished training and graduate to the wings, she returned back to the coast to find that Sase had left her mother Meme and joined another pod, but the pair of them quickly rekindled their bond, with Irukath falling quite in love with the little dolphin. The group became quite close, and with the eventual addition of Meme's second calf, Aru, they grew even closer.
Shortly after one of Irukath's flight, Micaela found herself pregnant. While she was thrilled, the baby's father was not ready to be a father, and so she took on the task of raising the child herself. And then the earthquake hit. Her daughter's father was killed, along with many other riders. And a day or two afterwards, Micaela found out that her parents, brother, and sister had also been killed. Iela was with her down at Roma Hold with the dolphins when it happened, so mother and daughter were fine.
Micaela quickly returned back to the Weyr, though she found herself forced to leave Iela with the main creche while she began helping out with the clean up. And little did she expect it, but a sevenday after cleanup had started, R'sten, the Interim Weyrleader, came to her and informed her that he would be making her the Candidate Master, at least for the time being.

Dragon’s Personality: Irukath is the epitome of what the Weyr has come to expect out of a coral. She's laid back, friendly, and playful. The ocean waters are her best friends, as are the dolphins and the other creatures around it. She would much rather spend her entire day swimming, diving, and playing in the waters than working. But at least she does work when the time calls for it.
Dragon’s Appearance: Irukath is a smaller coral, not much larger than a small brown in bulk, though she's got a copper's length. Some think that she's exceptionally skinny, but she's still got muscle to her and is obviously just built the way that she is. Her hide is a base light pink. It's splatter in bright red splotches that almost look like flowers in the tropical forests of the northern shore of the island. The rest of her body is cover in white, short lines that go every which way.

Appearance: Meme is a small bottle-nose dolphin with a vivid color variation, in comparison to the rest of her pod. She's the smallest adult in her pod as well. Her belly is a bright white, her sides a light grey, and her top and dorsol fin a dark grey, with the fin tip being almost black.
Personality: Meme is exceptionally playful, even for a dolphin. She's also a a good mother, having looked after her two calves with great attention and care. Human children are looked after in a very similar way.

Appearance: Aru is still a young dolphin, but he is already as large as his mother, Meme, if not larger. He is more of a steady grey than his mother, slightly lighter on his belly. His sides have what look like waves for markings on either side.
Personality: Aru is playful, like all dolphins, and would be more more than willing to play over work, but he's a quiet fellow as well. He still stick close to his mother.

Appearance: Kanu is medium size blue flit who's hide reflects the ever changing sea states of the ocean around the island. It's a swirl of light blues, bright blues, blue greys, dark blues, and even blue-grey-whites, all intermingling with eachother in what looks to almost be a crashing wave across his hide.
Personality: Playful and friendly, Kanu is almost an epitome of the dolphin Meme, who he's been around his entire life. It's extremely hard to get him to be serious at all, and frequently he's off causing trouble while just trying to play.
