Personality and Appearance: Lirazee is your typical headstrong, stubborn woman. She knows what she wants and strives to get it, succeeding in the end every time. Having spent her lifetime in the crèche after failing to Impress until she aged out, Lirazee has known and taken on various duties about the Weyr which have landed her in her current position. She is a calm woman whose upset side rarely shows as her temper has a very long patience. Able to multitask and distribute tasks accordingly, she has been able to maintain order and calm in all areas that she has a hand in, even going so far as stepping up to the task that the earthquake had sort of thrust upon her. Organization is a strength of hers and she is happy to have such a knack at it.
Standing among the taller women of Pern, Lirazee can sometimes be intimidating with her lithe build and air of authority in her movements. With dark ocean blue eyes and golden tanned skin, if it were not for her tangle of dark brown hair that falls in waves to her waist when left loose, though it is usually seen in plaits and bindings to either fall over either of her shoulders or stay behind her back, she would probably scare away some of her helpers. Often found with a smile on her face, she rarely has a frown and what appears to be laughter lines touch up her face about her eyes. Often found in neutral colors, her dresses are plain and light to work well with the weather about New Caledonia’s Territories without tasking her with extra warmth or weight to slow her down. She carries a satchel with her that holds various items from simple snacks, for good little crèche kids or even the occasional firelizard sent her way with a message, to hides presented to her on the fly about something or other.
History: Born to a brownrider and a greenrider of the Northern transfers, Lirazee spent her life knowing only the Southern ways and hearing of the Northern ways through her parents and the others that had transferred to the South. Of her nine siblings, only her younger three brothers are full-blooded, the rest half siblings through her father. Life was generally normal, herself Standing as often as she could but failing to Impress each time.
Lirazee Stood until she aged out, taking an interest in the creche and Weyr management at 16, Apprenticing under the crechemother when she couldn’t follow the Assistant Headwoman of Residency Peak around. She took a year off from Candidacy when she became pregnant to a brownrider after a goldflight in her 20th year. At 25 came her son to a bluerider after his blue failed to catch a green. At 26, she managed her Journeywoman’s status in the Housing Guild, stepping up to Assistant Crechemother of Residency Peak by the time she reached 34. Her daughter Impressed to a dragonet the following year and herself accepting a marriage proposal from her son’s father shortly after that.
At 42, Lirazee not only gained her Master’s knots in Housing, but also stepped up to Assistant Headwoman in the process. Her mother passed away in her 46th year due to an illness and age not combining very well, but had been coherent enough to have seen Zeezakvik Impress to a bronze dragonet the year before. It was at that point that Lirazee was able to step up even more with her Duties, knowing that both of her children had Impressed dragons and were well on their way to promising futures.
At 48 years of age, the Headwoman of New Caledonia Island Weyr stepped down from her position, naming Lirazee as her successor and Lirazee has been holding that position well since then. When the great earthquake shook up the island in her 51st year, it took the life of her father and the loss of the Weyrwoman placed Lirazee in a temporary position of filling her place until the next queen Rises to take on the position…
