Personality and Appearance: Razanur, or Raz, as he's commonly called, has a face to match his rascally personality. His curly sandy blond locks are wild as a bird nest most days, and his bright green eyes practically sparkle with mischief. He has a youthful face with a snubbed nose and a small pert chin. He's about 5'4" now, and probably won't be more than 5'8 when he gets his full growth, so he's short, but while his frame is compact, he is both limber and fairly strong for his size.
Razanur's tastes in clothes reflect both his personality and his hobbies. He likes bright colors, especially yellow and green, which fits his cheerful demeanor very well. He likes to spend time out of doors, especially working in the gardens and orchards, and as a consequence, prefers to go barefoot. Who needs muddy shoes anyway? He also tends to roll his pants up a few inches to keep the hems out of the dirt. His other major hobby, as well as his chosen craft, is cooking. Of course, he also likes to eat the food, and if he wasn't kept active, he might get a little fat. He is a curious young man, he likes to explore and try new things, though he has a tendency to clumsiness and to getting in over his head. Raz tends not to take things as seriously as he should, but he is a loyal friend, and quite fun to be around. He doesn't seem to care much about girls yet, he's still running a bit wild, but eventually he will settle down and he'll likely be a good family man.
History: Razanur was the first born to The Lord of Took Hokd, a minor Hold in Sydir Hold's territory. He was raised as the Heir for fourteen years, learning all the ins and outs of running the Hold, settling disputes, working the land and politics. But his every spare moment was spent in the kitchens, the gardens, and/or making trouble. He put pink dye in the laundry vats, he tied feathers to the cat's tails, and he constantly nicked food from the kitchens and skipped out on chores and lessons. The only person who could keep him in line was his grandmother, who was also the Hold's cook. She even gave him a firelizard egg for his tenth name day, which Hatched into a blue. He named it Bubbly-pie, currently his favorite food, and together they got into even more trouble. But he did love the kitchens and was fascinated by the act of cooking.
His best friend growing up was his cousin Kalimac from Brandy Hold, the minor Hold next door. They spent most of their childhoods getting into one kind of trouble or another, though Kalimac was more interested in runners than in food.
When Razanur was fourteen, his father had about had it with him. Zanagul couldn't imagine Razanur being a competent Lord Holder, but he didn't really know what else to do with him. Then his grandmother suggested that Raz apprentice under her as a cook. There were plenty if other children more suited to being the Heir, after all. Everyone realized right away that this was the perfect plan, so for two years, he learned everything he could about cooking from Marielda. And then just after the earthquake that threw everything into chaos, fate struck a different chord. A dragon came to the Hold....

He is stout, even a bit chubby, with short, wide wings, thick limbs, and a long twining tail. He is clever and sweet, but a terrible food thief. He obeys only Razanur, but even Raz can't keep him from eating when he wants to. However, the blue flit is a great help in the kitchen, and is good at spotting useful herbs in the wild as well.
