Pre-Game Play
Turn 1: The Pernese settlers found Landing on the Southern Continent.
Turn 8: The first Pass begins. Dragons are created and the First Hatching occurs.
Turn 9: The majority of the settlers evacuate Landing and move to the North. A small group of riders and non-riders alike, however, refuse evacuation and begin to travel the South. The riders protect the non-riders. No further contact from the North is recorded.
Turn 11: New Caledonia Weyr is founded in the South on what had been known as Ierne Island. Of the founders, there is 1 young gold, a bronze, two browns, three blues, and three greens. The non-riders found Shan Hold on the foothills of the island's tallest peak. There are approximately 50 souls recorded. Shan Peak and Hold are named after the Weyrleader, Shane.
Turn 13: Gold Minath Rises for the first time. Her clutch consists of 20 eggs, including one gold egg. Further record of clutches and Hatchings are lost after this point.
Turn 15: A full telegraph system is finished making communications between the peaks of the Weyr and the valleys of the Holds possible. A few riders return to Landing to bring back what they can.
Turn 16: The importance of the grubs is discovered. Now farmers no longer kill them and the Shan area becomes green. The Landing expedition riders return with a few hover craft. Some remaining engineers are able to create a new kind which runs on water and they are mass produced, ending the need for Riders to act as transportation.
Turn 18: Weyrleader Shane and the Lord Holder establish a tithing system. The Weyr expands further across the peaks, providing ample protection for the valleys below.
Turn 19: In Shan Hold, a new printing press is created. Books once again become common thing. The Southern Continent's version of the Harper and Healer Halls are founded under the title of the Institution, with the Education Guild (Harper) and Medical Guild (Healer). Riders discover the telegraph system to be a nuisance when flying and a move is made to have the lines buried instead.
Turn 21: Gold Minath is killed in a Threadfall accident, leaving one known gold to carry on the dragon legacy. The new telegraph system is completed and has very little problems. The Education Guild establishes a small residency in the weyr so that the Rider's can focus on their job, instead of learning how to maintain the old technologies. The Medical Guild experiences its first failure of equipment, which will eventually lead to what would become more common herbal and primitive healing methods such as those used in the north.
Turn 27: Miners discover a cave which contains rich minerals, including a safer type of firestone that would not be discovered in the North until much later. The last wher of the region dies. Another cave is later discovered containing gems and other jewels. Miner Hold is established.
Turn 35: The last computer fails. Work on the telegraph system begins to keep it operational. An Engineering Guild is established to maintain the telegraph and transportation systems, as well as run things such as the printing presses, irrigation systems, and the building of new establishments and holds. Sydir Hold is established on the southwest coast of the island and becomes known for its wine.
Turn 58: The first interval begins.
Turn 79: Nyta Hold is established on southeast coast of the island.
Turn 109: The last of the founding riders dies from old age.
Turn 145: A landslide damages the telegraph system. A period known as the "Telegraph Blackout" begins. A temporary Message Guild is established to carry messages between the Holds. Dragons are temporarily stationed in holds for Weyr to Hold and Hold to Weyr communications.
Turn 151: The telegraph system repair is finished and a protection system has been built around the lines to keep out grubs and to hopefully prevent another situation. The Message Guild, which was created during the telegraph black out, dies out. Dragons remain in the Holds to ensure the tithing system is honored.
Turn 175: Dragons are eventually removed from the Holds after much complaint from non-riders.
Turn 207: A small meteorite hits the Weyr peak, disastrously killing a clutch. A new hatching ground area is discovered close to the main peak and is dubbed New Hope Peak. This peak becomes the candidate, hatching ground, and weyrling training peak. A crude Astronomy Guild is established in an attempt to divert any other incidents of this nature.
Turn 258: The Second Pass begins. An earthquake caves in the firestone cave.
Turn 260: A new firestone cave is discovered.
Turn 308: The Second Interval begins.
Turn 500: A massive fire destroys all the records from the Second Interval, including those at Shan Hold. The rest of the island is spared, however the Education Guild had held all the island's histories.
Turn 508: The Third Pass begins.
Turn 558: The Third Interval begins.
Turn 560: Repairs to New Caledonia Weyr and the Holds are finally completed. A fire brigade is created using weyrlings after a second fire almost causes more destruction.
Turn 608: The Fourth Pass begins.
Turn 609: The first copper dragon hatches, copper Shinath to a male. It is determined that the dragonet is also a male.
Turn 610: A total of five coppers hatch, all male.
Turn 612: A gold rises and copper catches, but only barely. This clutch produced a new color, which became known as "coral". It was the only successful copper catch recorded, but corals became a standard color after that flight.
Turn 658: The Fourth Interval begins.
Turn 808: The Fifth Pass fails to begin on schedule. Flights start to become further and further between, with the golds normally only rising once every other three years or so. The dragon population starts to decline.
Turn 1110: A plague strikes the north, decimating their dragon population, though this is not known by New Caledonia Weyr.
Turn 1113: The plague finally clears out, leaving a very small number of surviving dragons, including a single gold, gold Hipath. They between South following a holder uprising kills 4 of their numbers. The dragons find New Caledonia Weyr and, after a two month quarantine period, are welcomed into the Weyr.
Turn 1162: The first pearl hatches. It impresses to a young female. One of the golds rises soon after the hatching.
Turn 1163: The second pearl hatches. It impresses to a young male. Two female green clutches result in male greens, but all between right after hatching. Still, the Weyr notices an increase of clutches being lain, making the riders wonder if Thread is returning.

All of the remaining Northern riders are lost. Seven of the 25 eggs are also crushed underneath falling rocks, leaving only 18 new potential dragons. Only 84 riders (4 bronze, 3 copper, 8 coral, 15 brown, 23 blue, 31 green) remain, leaving the Weyr poorly-manned for the possibly upcoming Pass.
5.15.1164: Repairs begin slowly.
